On March 05, 2019 President Trump signed Executive Order 13861, known as the President's Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End a National Tragedy of Suicide (PREVENTS),

Veterans, Veterans service organizations, and communities are requested to take this first-of-its kind PREVENTS survey to share perspectives and feedback on mental health services and suicide prevention. Filling out the survey takes less than 5 minutes!

VA Transitioning Urgent Care Network Managers in Select States

VA is transitioning its urgent care network managers on September 1, 2020 from TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest) to Optum Public Sector Solutions, Inc. (Optum), which is part of UnitedHealth Group, Inc. The change will result in new urgent care providers being added to its contracted networks while others may be removed.

Veterans and Pets Adopt Each Other and Both Benefit


Expanded Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers

To support those who support our Veterans, VA's Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers is expanding in October to include: eligible WWII, Korean, and Vietnam Veterans, eligible Veterans with a service-connected disability rating of 70% or higher, and access to financial planning and legal services. And all Caregivers have access to many supportive resources, such as workshops, a Support Line, and Peer Support Mentoring.

Apply after the official launch of the expanded Program. Stay tuned for a VA announcement in mid-September.

A New Electronic Virtual Assistant Helps Veterans Connect With VR&E

VA’s Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) Service is rolling out its electronic Virtual Assistant (e-VA) to help Veterans securely schedule VR&E appointments, text and email their VR&E counselor, receive automated alerts, and submit documentation, all from a smartphone or computer!
