Northbrook Community Trust

The Northbrook Community Trust provides grants to charities that are changing the lives of some of the most disadvantaged young people in Devon.

The Trust would be pleased to hear from not-for-profit organisations across the county that have specific projects to support disadvantaged children and young people under 25.

Past projects include rural retreats, outdoor learning, disabled access and arts and culture projects as well as extra-curricular programmes such as music or gardening for schools where the participants include a high proportion of disadvantaged children. Note that the Trust can only make grants for purposes that are not the statutory responsibility of local or national government, and for children in need.

Grants can be capital or revenue. Grants below £5,000 are considered nine times a year; grants above £5,000 are considered four times a year. Most grants are below £10,000.
