EDUCATION AND TRAINING

VA OSDBU educates and trains Veteran-owned and other small businesses on various topics specific to doing business within the federal and commercial marketplaces.

Upcoming Webinars

VA OSDBU provides business development training on a variety of topics. The training is designed for new entrepreneurs unfamiliar with the federal marketplace and doing business with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Business owners interested in increasing their knowledge about the procurement process are encouraged to attend the webinars “How the Procurement Process Works: Pre-Solicitation”, and “How the Procurement Process Works: Solicitation/Post Award.” The duration of most sessions are approximately 60-minutes which includes time for the audience to ask questions via a chat box. To see details about each topic, select the “Register” hyperlink.

Resource Library

VA OSDBU’s training resource library provides links to on-demand webinars, interactive tools, industry best practices and information from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Framework for Success

VA OSDBU’s Framework for Success compiles processes and knowledge areas into a business model that is a checklist used by VA OSDBU to ensure small businesses are procurement ready; that is, having the ability to meet the requirements necessary to compete for VA and other federal contracting opportunities.
