The National Center is a philanthropic partnership established by the Honorable Jacqueline Lewis using profits from Washington Intern Student Housing (WISH) to address the structural inequity of housing that locks out students of color from internships. Her $1M gift is enough to bring 175 HBCU students to Washington internships, housing paid, and provide funding to HBCU staff to recruit outstanding students.

The HBCU National Center partners with like-minded organizations, corporations, and government entities to bring more HBCU students into leadership positions in the workplace.
