Alameda Recreation and Park Department (ARPD)

ARPD is proud to be the third oldest park system in the State of California with over 30 parks and facilities serving more than 15,000 people annually.

ARPD is organized into three divisions:

  • Recreation Services - providing activities for toddlers, children, teens, families and adults
  • Mastick Senior Center - offering services to adults 50 and better
  • Park Maintenance - tending to and keeping our parks clean and safe.

We strive to be resourceful, responsive and collaborative as an integral part of our island city.

As of June 25, 2022, the Alameda County Health Department lifted the indoor mask mandate due to declining COVID cases.  As of Monday, June 27, 2022, masks are now strongly recommended in all City facilities.  This includes all of our programs for youth, seniors and adults.

Thank you for continuing to do your part to help keep our community safe.
