Black Friday's steep discounts continue on televisions, from 32-inch sets up to 65-inch and 75-inch models.

One of the best developments for Black Friday and Cyber Monday shoppers is that many of the deals are still available even after the shopping event is officially over. As in previous years, we’re seeing discounts on TVs from brands including Amazon, Hisense, Insignia, LG, Samsung, Sony, and TCL.

Right now we’re still seeing 2022 models that are at their lowest prices ever. In addition, some 2023 sets have now been on the market for several months and have come down from their introductory prices.

Retailers are also selling newer “derivative” sets, which are offered as Black Friday and Cyber Monday specials. These TVs are very similar to models introduced earlier in the year but with slightly different model numbers, and they usually sell for a lower price. Some may be exclusive to a single retailer, such as Best Buy or Walmart.

Listed below are some of the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals we’re still seeing, including discounts on streaming media players. If you’re looking for more information, CR members can check out CR’s full TV ratings of over 300 models or discover our top picks in Best TVs of 2023.

Consumer Reports is keeping track of continuing Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales on loads of products in our Deals hub.

    Best Deals on 32-Inch TVs

The Insignia NS-32F201NA23 is a 32-inch 720p set that uses the Fire TV smart system. It’s only a decent performer, so it’s not the best choice for most people’s main TV. But it could be an okay set if you’re looking for a low-cost smart TV that has Amazon Alexa built in, especially for a secondary room in your home. And the price this week is $10 higher than last week.

    Insignia NS-32D310NA21

We haven’t tested this set, but it’s a very basic 32-inch Insignia model that lacks any smart features. It does have two HDMI inputs, so you could connect a streaming player along with a cable box. But as you can see from other picks in this group, you don’t have to pay much more to get a set with built-in smart TV features. Best Buy just upped the price of this set by $5 from earlier in the week.

    TCL 32S356

This is a 32-inch 1080 Google TV from TCL. We didn’t test this set, but did test the TCL 32S355, a similar model except it’s a Roku TV, and did did well for overall picture quality. Note that this is part of Walmart’s early Cyber Monday sale.

    Amazon B09N6F9NV3

We haven’t tested this 32-inch 2-series 720p Amazon Fire TV from Amazon itself, but most of its siblings that we have tested have been decent overall. This one comes with the Fire TV smart system, so it has Alexa built in and comes with a voice remote. It is also claimed to support HDR (HDR10 and HLG), but in our experience, that means it can accept those signals but probably lacks sufficient brightness to produce a real HDR experience. The price has dropped $10 since last week.

Best Deals on 43- to 55-Inch TVs

The 43-inch Amazon B09N6LRBTR is a new Omni-series set that—unlike older, smaller Omni TVs—supports Dolby Vision HDR. This set does well in our tests, especially for 4K UHD picture quality, but like most of the Omni TVs we’ve tested, it lacks sufficient peak brightness to produce a compelling HDR experience. This model supports Amazon’s new “ambient” feature, which lets the TV display artwork and photos when you’re not watching TV programming. The price is now $20 higher than last week.

    Onn 100133209

This 43-inch TV from Onn, Walmart’s house brand, is part of the retailer’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale. It’s a 1080p model, so it doesn’t support 4K videos. It’s also a Roku TV, so it has access to a lot of streaming services. We haven’t tested any HD Onn TVs, but the 4K models in our ratings have mixed results on picture quality, with some performing very well.

People looking for a smaller set for use as a main TV should consider the 48-inch LG OLED48A2PUA, which offers top-notch overall picture quality and very good sound. It’s LG’s least expensive OLED series for 2022. The one drawback is that it doesn’t do as well as pricier LG sets for HDR performance. Also, the price is now $50 higher than it was on Black Friday and Cyber Monday—it’s still a good deal, but you might want to monitor prices (or get a price guarantee) to see if it drops again during holiday sales.

    Onn 1001332044

We didn’t test this 50-inch Onn TV from Walmart’s house brand, but other Onn sets have had inconsistent results in our ratings. Some have done fairly well for overall picture quality, but others haven’t. None have been able to produce a compelling HDR experience. This is a 4K Roku TV offered at a very low price for its size.

    TCL 55S41R

We didn’t test this 55-inch TCL model, which we see only at Walmart. This is one of TCL’s entry-level models that use the Roku TV smart system.

    Amazon B0B3GTSQ9Q

We didn’t test this 50-inch Amazon Fire TV, in an entry-level 4 series line sold by Amazon, but we did test the Amazon B08SVZ775L, which seems similar if not identical. That set does well for overall picture quality, though not for HDR or sound quality. (An inexpensive soundbar can fix that problem.) It uses the Amazon Fire TV smart platform, so it has Alexa built in. It’s $20 more expensive now at both retailers than it was last week.

The TCL 55S450G is a 55-inch Google TV that does well overall in our ratings, though its HDR performance is ineffective and its sound is only fair. It’s a very basic entry-level 4K set with built-in Google Assistant, thanks to the Google TV smart system. This set is now $10 more than it was a few days ago.

    Samsung UN55TU690TFXZA

Unlike some other screen sizes in this series, which we’ve found only at Best Buy, this 55-inch Samsung set is available at a few retailers right now at roughly the same price. It appears to be a derivative of the TU7000-series sets, so it’s a fairly basic 4K smart TV. In general, entry-level Samsung sets we have tested do well for overall picture quality but not as well for HDR.

The Vizio M55Q6-J01 is a 55-inch Vizio 4K smart TV that earned top marks for overall picture quality in our tests, though it’s HDR performance was very ineffective.

    TCL 55Q550Q

This model appears to be an entry-level 55-inch Q-series set available only at Best Buy. We didn’t test this model, but the TCL 55Q650Q—until now the company’s least expensive Q-series model—is in our ratings and does well for overall picture quality, though its HDR performance and sound are both subpar. (You could add a budget-priced soundbar to fix the sound problem.) Like other 2023 Q-series sets, it uses the Google TV smart system. It’s once again $70 more expensive than last week.

The 55-inch Amazon B09N6ZRH6C, a step-up Omni-series TV, does well for overall picture quality in our tests but not as well for HDR performance and sound. Like other larger Omni-series sets, it supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ HDR formats and now has a feature called Fire TV Ambient Experience, which lets the TV display artwork and photos when you’re not watching TV programming. It’s $10 more expensive tis week than last.

Best Deals on 65-Inch and 70-Inch TVs

Unlike some other Onn TVs we’ve tested, which have done fairly well for overall picture quality, the 65-inch Onn 100012587 from Walmart’s private label brand did only okay in our tests and not even that well for HDR. Still, this is a very low price for a 4K set this size and might be an option for less finicky viewers on a tight budget. It’s a Roku TV, so it has access to a lot of streaming services.

    Samsung UN65TU690TFXZA

Yet another screen size in this entry-level series, this model is a 65-inch Samsung set that appears to be a derivative of the TU7000-series sets, so it’s a fairly basic 4K smart TV. We haven’t tested this set, but in general, entry-level Samsung sets we have tested do well for overall picture quality but not as well for HDR.

    TCL 65S41R

We didn’t test this 65-inch TCL model, which we see only at Walmart as part of its Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. This is one of TCL’s entry-level models that use the Roku TV smart system. It had been out of stock initially, but it’s now available for purchase.

    TCL 65Q550G

We didn’t test this 65-inch set from TCL, which appears to be an entry-level Q-series set exclusive to Best Buy. But we have tested other Q-series TVs, such as the 65-inch TCL 65Q650G, which has very good overall picture quality but only so-so HDR performance.

The Hisense 65U6K is a 65-inch model in the company’s entry-level ULED series for 2023. Its overall picture quality is quite good, but the HDR performance lags that of the company’s step-up ULED models. While this is a fairly basic 60Hz set, it still enjoys the benefits of Mini LED backlights, which have the potential to deliver improved brightness, contrast, and black levels. Like all Hisense ULED sets, these models use the Google TV smart TV platform.

Like several other Omni-series Amazon Fire TVs made by Amazon that we’ve tested, the 65-inch Amazon B08T6J1HG8 does well for overall picture quality but has ineffective HDR. Omni-series sets have a few features, such as support for Dolby Vision HDR and far-field microphones built into the TV itself, not found in the 4-series sets below them.

The 65-inch LG OLED65C3PUA is a midtier model from LG’s 2023 OLED TV lineup. It’s a great choice as a main TV, with top-notch picture quality and very good HDR. It also has better-than-average sound. The price is now better on this new set than on its predecessor, the LG OLED65C2PUA, which had been discounted in the early Black Friday sales.

This 65-inch 4K smart TV, the Samsung QN65GN90C, is a higher-end model in the company’s 2023 Neo QLED TV lineup that includes Mini LED backlights. It’s an excellent TV overall, with top-notch overall picture quality and impressive HDR performance thanks to very high peak brightness, and very good sound.

    Sony XR-65A75L

We didn’t test this 65-inch set from Sony, which appears to be an entry-level 4K OLED TV for 2023. We have tested other Sony sets, which have done very well for overall picture quality and sound, but HDR performance could be a question mark. Like other 2023 Sony sets, it uses the Google TV smart system. Note that the price jumped $500 last week, but it’s back down to the sale price.

Best Deals on 75-Inch and Larger TVs

The Hisense 75A6H is an entry-level 4K TV in the company’s 2022 TV lineup. It didn’t do as well as other Hisense TVs we’ve tested, with only decent overall picture quality and sound, and subpar HDR performance. It uses the Google TV smart system with Google Assistant built in.

    Hisense 75R6030K

This 75-inch Hisense appears to be a derivative R6 model for 2023, which we see right now only at Walmart. It appears to be a fairly basic 4K Roku TV that supports the HDR 10 and Dolby Vision HDR formats. We’ve tested a few R6 sets in the past, though not this model, and they’ve done fairly well for overall picture quality but not HDR.

The 75-inch Onn 100044717, from Walmart’s house brand, does surprisingly well for its price, with very good overall picture quality. On the downside, its HDR performance is very limited, and its viewing angle is fairly narrow. This model is a Roku TV, with access to a lot of streaming services.

    Vizio V755x-K04

This entry-level 4K smart TV from Vizio is part of Walmart’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. We didn’t test this set, a 2023 model, but other V-series Vizio sets have done well for overall picture quality, though not HDR.

    Samsung UN75TU690T

We haven’t tested this 75-inch Samsung 4K set, apparently an entry-level 4K model available only at Best Buy. In general, other entry-level Samsung sets we have tested do well for overall picture quality but not as well for HDR. Many also have better-than-average sound.

    Hisense 75U6K

The Hisense 75U6K is a 75-inch model in Hisense’s entry-level ULED series for 2023. We didn’t test this screen size but did test the 65-inch Hisense 65U6K (see above), and it does very well for overall picture quality, though it’s not quite as good as higher-tier ULED-series TVs when it comes to HDR performance. This model has a Mini LED backlight, which has the potential to deliver improved brightness, contrast, and black levels. Like all Hisense ULED sets, this set uses the Google TV smart TV platform. Best Buy and Walmart raised the price by $50 last week—and then dropped it again by that same amount this week.

    TCL 75R655

This 75-inch set, the TCL 75R655, is in the company’s top 6 series for 2022, which have done well in our ratings. The 65-inch TCL 65R655, for example earned top marks for picture quality, and delivered a very satisfying HDR experience. This set is a Roku TV, with access to lots of streaming services.

    Vizio P75Q9-J01

This 75-inch Vizio is one of its higher-end P-series Quantum 4K TVs from 2021. We didn’t test this model, but other Vizio P-series sets have done well in our ratings. Note that this is part of Walmart’s early Cyber Monday sale.

The Sony XR-75X90K, an upper-midrange Google TV set from 2022, earned top marks in our tests for overall picture quality, and it had very good sound. Its HDR performance, though, was only decent.

The 75-inch Roku 75R6A5R, a 2023 model that’s one of the first sets designed and made by Roku, does very well in our tests, with excellent overall picture quality and very good sound. Its HDR performance, however, is just okay. This set is $100 cheaper now than a few days ago.

    Hisense 75U7K

We didn’t test this 75-inch step-up ULED model from Hisense, but we did test the 65-inch Hisense 65U7K, and it does very well for overall picture quality but not quite as well for HDR. That set also has very good sound. Like all ULED models, the TV has a Mini LED backlight and uses the Google TV smart system. It’s at the lowest price we’ve seen so far.

The LG 75QNED75URA is a 75-inch model in the company’s QNED lineup, which has both quantum dots for a wider range of colors and Mini LED backlights. We tested this set, and its picture quality and HDR performance are only decent. The sound, however, is very good. Also, Amazon still has it at the Cyber Monday price, so it’s a better deal there.

    TCL 75QM850G

We didn’t test this 75-inch model in TCL’s flagship Q series for 2023. We did, however, test the 65-inch TCL 65QM850G, and it’s a great set for both overall picture quality and HDR. It also has very good sound. Like other Q-series models this year, it uses the Google TV smart system with Google Assistant and Chromecast built in. Note that this set is now $300 cheaper at these two retailers than at Walmart.

    Samsung QN77S89CBFXZA

This 77-inch OLED, which we have in our labs for testing right now, appears to be a one-off sold only at Best Buy. It’s a QD OLED like other Samsung OLED sets, and so far it looks like it has excellent overall picture quality, top-notch HDR performance, and very good sound. It will be in our TV ratings soon. This set is now $300 cheaper than it was last week.

    LG 86UR7800PUA

This is a jumbo-sized 86-inch 4K TV from LG, offered at an aggressive price. We didn’t test this set but have tested some larger UR8000 models, and they have had very good overall picture quality but ineffective HDR. Earlier in the week, Best Buy dropped the price by $100, down to $799.99, but it’s now back up.

Best Deals on Streaming Media Players

Amazon’ stick-style streamer, which pops into your TV’s HDMI port, has once again been updated with a faster processor for quicker app starts. It comes with an Alexa remote, which has TV power and volume controls. Despite being limited to HD (1080p, not 4K) video, the Fire TV Stick supports the HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG HDR formats, as well as Dolby Atmos 3D audio. Like other Amazon Fire TV products, it’s a good choice for Amazon Prime subscribers looking to either add or beef up the streaming options on their TV.

Sporting a unique circular design, Chromecast with Google TV (HD) is the company’s more basic streamer, limited to 1080p video—so no 4K. It does support HDR, however. Unlike the earlier version, which required a phone to operate it, this model comes with a voice remote control, with dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, Netflix, and YouTube.

The Chromecast with Google TV is the company’s 4K model that supports the HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision HDR formats. Like the HD model, it comes with a voice remote with a dedicated button for Google Assistant, the company’s voice-powered digital assistant. Another change from earlier models is a home screen that organizes movies and TV shows from all of your favorite services in one place, so it’s easier to find what to watch. Unlike the HD model, which only comes in white, the 4K version is offered in three color schemes: Snow (white), Sunrise (pink), and Sky (baby blue).

    Roku LE

The Roku LE is a small, entry-level streaming player that’s limited to HD (1080p ) resolution. It had been at this price in Walmart’s early Black Friday sale, but then jumped back up in price, but it’s once again down to $17.

Situated right below the Roku Streaming Stick 4K+ model, the Roku Streaming Stick 4K has most of the same features—including improved WiFi, support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision HDR, and the ability to work with Amazon Alexa, Apple AirPlay, and Google Assistant voice assistant—but not the new rechargeable Voice Remote Pro remote control. Instead, you get a standard Roku voice remote, which lacks the hands-free operation, a headphone jack for private listening, and a lost-remote finder feature found on the Voice Remote Pro.

The Roku Express 4K+ player replaces the Roku Premiere, and like that model it’s a small set-top box that offers 4K picture quality, plus support for both HDR10 and HDR10+ high dynamic range formats, though not Dolby Vision, which is found in some pricier models. Compared with the Premiere, it has a faster processor and dual-band WiFi, plus more storage, which the company says will help speed up channel start times.

Roku has refreshed its flagship Roku Ultra player, though really not much has changed with this update except that it now comes with Roku’s top-of-the-line remote control, the rechargeable Voice Remote Pro. The set-top-box style is still the fastest Roku, and it’s the only model with an Ethernet jack. Like the earlier model, it has a remote-finder button that causes the remote to beep if you misplace it, a headphone jack in the remote control for private listening, and two programmable shortcut buttons. This model supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ HDR, plus Dolby Atmos sound.
