There have been a number of statements regarding the development of the sixth‑generation fighter jet recently, especially from French sources.

- 1.What role has the European Union played in the development of the Future Combat Air System (FCAS)?
- 2.Given its desire for an integrated military procurement strategy, how is the Permanent Structured Cooperation relevant to the development of FCAS?
- 3.How does the development of the sixth‑generation fighter jet reconcile competing consortia such as FCAS and Team Tempest?
