$1.5 Million in Grants for 39 Projects in Hudson River Valley Communities

Several kayakers paddle on the Hudson near Kingston on a sunny day.Governor Kathy Hochul has announced more than $1.5 million in grant awards for 39 projects that will help communities along the Hudson River Estuary improve recreational access, enhance environmental education, and advance stewardship of natural resources. The grant awards build on local conservation efforts and priorities to sustainably improve water quality, become more resilient to flooding and other climate impacts, and protect natural resources. The grants are funded by the State's Environmental Protection Fund and administered by DEC's Hudson River Estuary Program. Read about all 39 projects in the Governor’s news release.
