to the Commission
Rule 138
Roman Haider (ID), Georg Mayer (ID)
In 2019, the European Network Against Racism (ENAR) received EUR 887 950[1]. The Forum of European Muslim Youth and Student Organisations (FEMYSO) is also a member of the ENAR[2]. The student organisation of the Islamic Community Millî Görüş is a member of FEMYSO[3]. Millî Görüş is an organisation with an Islamist agenda and has great sympathy for the Muslim Brotherhood[4].
- 1.How does the EU ensure that no EU funds reach the Millî Görüş Islamic movement indirectly via ENAR and FEMYSO?
- 2.How is it compatible with the values of the Union that an Islamist movement is part of an NGO that benefits from EU funds?
- 3.In general, how does the Commission ensure that none of its funding for NGOs reaches Islamist or other extremist groups?
