Prom and Class of 2021 Commencement Ceremony Details
Deer Park Families,
We know that many of you have been patiently waiting for details regarding Prom and the Class of 2021 Commencement. While all of the final details have not yet been determined—and are subject to change at the behest of Governor Dewine and the Ohio Health Department—we wanted to share with you the details that have been currently decided.
First and foremost we intend to have as “normal” of a Prom and Graduation as we can possibly have. While things may look a little different, we are determined to make sure the Class of 2021 and all of our students return to some of the traditions we honor each and every year.
The 2021 Junior/Senior Prom will take place on Saturday, May 8, in the Deer Park Jr./Sr. High School gymnasium from 7-11 p.m. Details, including costs, will be released in the next few weeks. We will also be required to follow all Ohio Department of Health Director’s Orders including masking and capacity requirements.
The Class of 2021 Commencement Ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 27, beginning at 7 p.m. at Harry Yeaggy Family Stadium on C.R. Piercey Field. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to Crawford Auditorium. Seating and number of tickets per student will be based on the allowable seating capacity of the venue in accordance with any Ohio Department of Health Director’s Orders at that time. Details, including seating information, will be released in the next few weeks.
