Powering Up

Community businesses in England can apply for support from a new programme designed to help them strengthen and develop their business. Powering Up has been launched by Power to Change: it will run for four years with multiple rounds of funding across the key areas of digital growth, zero carbon and sustainability, and financial resilience, with a cross cutting theme of diversity, equity and inclusion.

The initial phase of the programme focuses on community businesses looking to learn how digital skills could help their business develop and grow. This might include moving services online, web search optimisation or implementing digital systems to improve efficiency.

Community businesses can apply for support through a tailored package worth £20,000 in total including technical expertise, professional development, wellbeing support and an £8,000 unrestricted grant.
