FY 2023 Budget Listening Session
Dear Prince Georgians,
We are in the midst of budget season and developing our County’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year, which starts on Friday, July 1, 2022. During this time, we work to outline a budget that addresses the needs of all Prince Georgians and provides opportunities for growth, sustainability and equity as we continue our work of moving Prince George’s County forward.
As we develop the FY 2023 budget, we believe it is important to hear from our residents. That is why we are hosting our FY 2023 Budget Listening Session on Tuesday, February 1, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. This listening session will give residents an opportunity to learn more about our initial plans for the upcoming budget as well as provide their input on the FY 2023 budget.
Residents can participate in the listening session by testifying virtually or submitting written comments. Those interested in participating must pre-register online here by 5:00 PM on Monday, January 31. Written comments can be submitted via email to OMB@co.pg.md.us by 5:00 PM on Friday, February 4 and will be accepted in lieu of, or in addition to, oral comments. Testimony will be limited to 3 minutes per presenter and one speaker per organization. Residents who do not wish to speak but still want to view the listening session can do so here.
We encourage all Prince Georgians to join us for this important discussion and we look forward to hearing your feedback and ideas as we develop the FY 2023 budget.
Yours in service,
Angela Alsobrooks Prince George’s County Executive
