Kentucky loves its factories, and it's no wonder. Modern manufacturing plants are getting cleaner, greener and bigger in the Bluegrass State. Generous grants from DOE are retrofitting plants for Wieland Electric North America and Diageo in Shelbyville to make them more energy efficient, harness renewable power and reduce their carbon footprint. A big assist from Economic Development by Kentucky's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives made this possible. Other Kentucky plants in line to receive DOE funds are those operated by Century Aluminum, Rye Development and ISP Chemicals Inc. #economicdevelopment Brad Thomas Brandon Mattingly Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development Lee Crume Roxann Fry #jobs #siteselection LG&E and KU Energy LLC BE NKY Growth Partnership Greater Louisville Economic Development
