WENATCHEE — The unemployment rate in the two-county area dipped in March after climbing for five months.

The rate began to climb in October with a 4% unemployment rate and then peaking at 6.9% in February before dipping in March in the Wenatchee Metropolitan Statistical Area — a formal designation for the Chelan and Douglas counties area.
