Description

Installer of MagicConnect Client program provided by NTT TechnoCross Corporation contains a vulnerability which may lead to insecurely loading Dynamic Link Libraries (CWE-427) when a terminal is connected remotely using Remote desktop.

Impact

Arbitrary code may be executed with the privilege of the user invoking the installer.

Solution

Use the latest installer
Use the latest installer provided after 2021 March 1.
Users who have obtained the installer of MagicConnect Client program before 2021 March 1 need to download the latest installer again for the installation.
Also when executing the installer, be sure to check there are no suspicious files in the directory where the installer resides.

Users who already have installed the software do not need to re-install, because this issue affects the installers only.
