COVID-19 cases are rising in Southwark. Please self-isolate if you're asked to for NHS Test and Trace
Self-isolation is when you don't leave your home because you have or might have COVID-19. This helps stop the virus spreading to other people and is still a legal requirement. You could be fined if you don't self-isolate.
Get financial support if you need to self-isolate due to COVID-19
A Test and Trace support payment of £500 is available for people on low incomes who have to self-isolate due to COVID-19. You may be eligible if you are employed or self-employed, can't work from home, and will lose income as a result.

Our new Climate Strategy sets out ways in which we, you and organisations across the borough, can pull together to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases over the next decade. Our strategy is a live document. It will help us all in our response to the climate emergency, which threatens our planet and our future through increasing temperatures, rising sea levels and extreme weather events.

Southwark cuts mowing to grow wildflowers and encourage bees
You may have spotted some long grass in your local park. This is because we've reduced routine grass cutting to encourage wildflower growth. This has the added benefit of bringing more butterflies, bees and birds and more wildlife and nature.
