This #NationalParkWeek we celebrate the history of immigration. Major entry points for immigrants that are now national parks include Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration and Golden Gate National Park. Lowell National Historical Park, César E. Chávez National Monument, and Spike National Historical Park help tell the stories of immigrant workers.

USCIS will open international field offices in Doha, Qatar, on May 7, 2024, and in Ankara, Turkey, on May 9, 2024. These cities are refugee processing hubs, with the presence of refugee coordinators from the Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, resettlement support centers, and other interagency partners. Our permanent in-country presence will increase capacity for refugee processing, strengthen strategic partnerships, and encourage interagency cooperation.
