Seeking external community partners for 21st Century Community Learning Centers

Beginning June 1, community and nonprofit organizations and eligible businesses interested in becoming potential partners with the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) programs can send their profiles to the Department. The deadline for submissions is July 29 at 5 p.m. EST. The Department uses the profiles to collect, screen and publish a list of appropriate organizations for partnerships with current and future CCLC programs.

Community or nonprofit organizations interested in submitting profiles must meet the minimum record of operation including:

• Evidence of organization status in good standing within the state of Ohio, having a minimum five years of experience;
• Evidence of the organization having a minimum of five years of experience operating or delivering services to out-of-school time programs in Ohio; and
• Evidence of the organization having a record of success in running or working with out-of-school time programs, having a minimum of five years of experience.

Businesses interested in submitting profiles must meet the minimum record of operation above and clearly explain how their businesses support out-of-school time programs. Provide this information under the Program Evaluation or Other Types of Programming section of the profile.

Organizations that meet all the above requirements may submit a profile on the Department’s 21st CCLC webpage. Profiles are due July 29 at 5 p.m. Send questions to Charmaine Davis-Bey.
