Because all students are capable of success, we will create equity by working with stakeholders to fulfill the academic, career and personal/social needs of our diverse student body, maintain high expectations and accountability, promote ethical values, and prepare students to become productive citizens.

We Are a Nationally Recognized School Counseling Program

In 2015, Herndon High School Student Services program met the criteria to become a Recognized ASCA Model Program by the American School Counselor Association. The Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) designation is awarded to schools that align with the criteria set by the ACSA national model. A RAMP designated school counseling program must demonstrate a comprehensive, data-driven program that meets the needs of all students, and the designation is held for five years. Herndon is one of only 550 schools in the entire United States (out of 37,000 high schools) that has achieved this recognition!
