Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund

Sport England has launched a new fund to help celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year by supporting projects that bring a community together and provide opportunities for people who may be less physically active. Not-for-profit organisations, schools and local authorities can apply for a share of a £5 million funding pot to help inactive people to become active, or less active people to become more active.

Grants of between £300 and £10,000 are available for projects that help people to become more active, particularly people who may otherwise have less opportunity to be active and who live in areas of disadvantage.

Sport England is keen to see projects that are built from local experience and feedback; that bring together various groups and communities; and also make the most of local facilities and equipment.

Funds are available for project costs such as facility hire and coaching, as well as for small capital improvements.

Focus of fund/fund aims:

Grants up to £10,000 for organisations that use sport and physical activity as a means of bringing a community together and tackling inequalities

Application deadline:

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis
