Annual Cap Toss at Brookfield East

Annual Cap Toss at Brookfield East's Commencement

Brookfield East High School (BE) is committed to every student's readiness and success in their selected post secondary pathway. In our commitment to academic and human excellence, BE has a common instructional framework aligned to our AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) program that grows the academic knowledge, skills, and authentic sense of confidence in every learner. BE continues to improve our system of reading and writing through the effective implementation of anchor literacy strategies where student learning and engagement are accelerated as a result. Access to rigorous coursework led by skilled, relationship-centered educators who see the potential in every student, builds a strong school culture. Our students consistently identify the positive, impactful relationships, high expectations for learning, and timely feedback they receive to improve their learning as the key drivers of their engagement and academic success here at BE.

Every teacher at BE is invested in their Professional Learning Community to improve their classroom practice through collaboratively defining learning goals, responding to formative data, and extending learning opportunities in every class, every day, for every student. Through our weekly newsletter, our families are engaged in summaries of our continuous improvement goals, student survey data, and introduced to important aspects of our common instructional framework. Each week, the Tuesday Topic receives an average of 2,200 views in support of our students and their learning. Dedicated educators, highly engaged students, and supportive families come together to create a learning environment devoted to every student, every day.
