Event Information

NB - This is an interactive masterclass and we try to recreate an interactive classroom environment, where the sessions are live via  the zoom video conferencing platform and all delegates are expected to participate in the discussions. Feedback from other delegates have stated that the interaction and shared learning experience was one of the most valuable parts of the session.

If you want to outrank your competitors and get more free traffic from Google, this is the Masterclass for you! From choosing the right target keywords to getting other websites to link to yours, you will learn all about search engine optimisation (SEO) and how to use the techniques on your own site.

Successful SEO is achieved by optimising for all of Google’s ranking factors and this Masterclass covers the full spectrum. It explains how search engines work, the important elements of a web page for optimisation, the technical factors that affect ranking, how to write content for search engines and how to get the all-important links back to your site from others.

Session 1 - Thursday 28th January 2021 (10:00 - 11:30) explores the workings of search engines, technical elements of a website that can affect performance and how to add extra information to pages to help search engines. As a result, you will understand how to structure your website and how to identify technical issues that could affect your Google ranking.

Session 2 - Thursday 4th February 2021 (10:00 - 11:30) continues with a guide to keyword research and how to use that information to formulate a content plan to expand the information available on your site. It also explains the best ways to write and structure content to be understood by search engines, so that you can optimise your pages to rank for the right keywords.

Session 3 - Thursday 11th February 2021 (10:00 - 11:30) looks at the importance of links and how to get other sites to link to yours, along with what types of links to avoid. You will also learn about the signals of expertise, authority and trust used by Google’s algorithm and how you can improve them.

Session 4 - Thursday 25th February 2021 (10:00 - 11:30) examines how to check on performance using Google Search Console & what the issues flagged in the Coverage Report mean for your website. It also examines local search results, showing how to optimise your Google My Business listing and the other factors that determine rankings in the Google Maps search results we often see when searching for local businesses.

Session 5 – 1:1 Meeting

After you have completed the four interactive sessions you will be entitled to a 1:1 session with the presenter who will review your content and provide feedback bespoke to your business.
