Projecting Populations on New Year’s Day

As our nation prepares to ring in the new year, the Census Bureau will release total population projections for the nation and world for January 1, 2022. For the nation, these projections will show population growth since Census Day (April 1) 2020.

The release will be available on December 30. It includes components of change estimates (births, deaths, and net international migration).
