Stay safe on the ice

Ice conditions are changing rapidly across the state because of rain, warm weather, and wind. If you still plan to head out, make sure to prioritize your safety by checking the ice thickness frequently, wearing safety equipment including ice picks and a life jacket or float coat, and making sure someone knows where you’re going and when you plan to return.
