The deadline to apply for big-game draw hunts was March 20, 2024
Draw results were released on April 17, 2024. Click here and log in to access results. Draw permits must be validated by purchase of an OTC license.
Licenses are available online, by phone (888-248-6866), or in person at license vendors and NMDGF offices. Print from your account or request a copy from vendors or ispa@state.nm.us.
All Big-game & turkey licenses also require a carcass tag (unless E-Tag chosen). Do not hunt without a valid tag.

A hands-on fishing day will be held for James Bickley’s 3rd Grade Classrooms 1, 2, & 3.
Connie Backa-Lamb with James Bickley Elementary reached out to retain assistance from NMDGF – Aquatic Educator Contractor, Matty Gonzales.
This workshop is for certification as a Basic Archery Instructor for participation in the National Archery in the Schools Program. The workshop follows a hybrid learning model with both online and in-person instruction. All equipment is provide for training purposes. Register online at www.naspbai.org

This class is open to any lady seeking to learn or improve on their fly fishing, casting skills and abilities. Participants will receive instruction and coaching from Trish Valdez and other Trout Unlimited – Bosque Chapter members to gain or improve their fly casting skills for fly fishing. No equipment is necessary but ladies are encouraged to bring their own if they have it. This is for all levels of angler!
*The Ladies Fly Fishing 101 Classroom Clinic is a prerequisite to register for this session*

Presentation will present information on basic biology, conservation, and the sport of falconry
SMU-in-Taos Summer College Program will participate in a 3-D Archery Adventure Shoot. College-age students will walk a pre-determined course in small groups. Each archer gets a one to three shots at a three-dimensional target shaped like an animal. The targets on the animals cover the vital areas where a hunter would normally aim. These courses challenge archers to adapt their shooting to account for variable conditions, distances and angles. Students will learn how to score a target and track their individual score.
Private event. – Must be pre-enrolled through the SMU-in-Taos summer program.
New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Aquatic Education program staff will be fishing with students from Wood Gormley Elementary School at Monastery Lake on May 14, 2024. The event is closed to the public.
