Today is Monday, November 22, 2021 and we are celebrating National Family Week. Each week on Monday morning, we'll send you a quick update to keep you in the loop as you start your week.

National Family Week

National Family Week is observed in the week of Thanksgiving, and ending on the 27th.

Family Week was launched in 1968 in Indianapolis by a teacher and school administrator to provide Americans with an opportunity to promote strong families. The activist observed a stark life outcome difference in children who came from strong, supportive families and those who were not so raised. 

Did You Know? Among America’s 123-million households there are over 83 million families, with an average of 3.23 members.

Also this week, Native American Heritage Day will be observed on Friday, November 26. Black Friday, one of the most lucrative shopping days of the year for retailers in brick-and-mortar shops and online, also occurs on Friday, November 26.
