Location: FDA White Oak campus and Zoom (Please note that the meeting may change to a virtual meeting depending on the COVID situation).

Registration: Registration is required and limited to Government employees/contractors. 

The FDA’s Chemical Informatics and Modeling Interest Group, together with Women of CDER are hosting a workshop for Government-funded organizations on May 9-11, 2022, from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. ET.

The workshop, Cheminformatics Resources of U.S. Governmental Organizations, will bring together cheminformaticians working in different branches of the U.S. Government to share experience and challenges in creating and maintaining computational resources pertaining to structures and properties of molecules and materials.

About the Workshop

The workshop will feature presenters and panelists to discuss:

  • Scopes of chemical databases and datasets maintained by the U.S. Government
  • Digital approaches to storing, presenting, and exchanging information about chemical structures and properties of molecules and materials
  • Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence approaches for predicting biological activity and properties from chemical structures
  • Efforts and programs to support collaboration and development of benchmarks in computer-based evaluation of safety and efficacy of medical and consumer products.
