DC's Department of Energy and Environment are hosting Fix-it Clinics: Want to Join Us?

Fix-it DC events are community-based educational workshops that build resilient communities through transferring critical thinking, disassembly and troubleshooting skills; we use people's broken items as the subject matter to transfer these skills, repair is a just a side effect.

Fix-It DC events teach valuable troubleshooting and basic repair skills, build community connections and reduce the number of repairable objects that are thrown in the trash.


Being a Fix-it Coach is easy. You'll simply provide participants with:
1) Encouragement to investigate their broken item, and  
2) Guidance in the use of repair tools.
