Project Opportunity Announcement

A new Project Opportunity Announcement (POA) POA-23-RI-001 titled “Knowledge Graphs for Reasoning” has been modified and reposted. You can visit the AFRL ML-RCP website for additional information. 
 
The deadline for white paper submissions against this POA is Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 5pm EST. 
 
Please use the ML-RCP white paper guidance & template for submissions, which is available on the website.  White papers should be submitted via the ML-RCP website

Emerging Scholars Internship
University of Georgia Residence Research Program 

 Application deadline - March 1 

The Emerging Scholars Internship is an opportunity for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), including 1890 land-grant institutions, to conduct research with College of Agriculture and Environmental Science scientists and reside on the UGA Campus in Athens, GA. This seven-week program is intended for students who have an interest in research and are planning to attend graduate school in agriculture and related sciences. 

 
Emerging Scholar Interns receive:  
  • A monthly $1,500 stipend ($3,000 total)
  • Housing and meal plan allowance
  • Hands-on research experience with a UGA CAES scientist
  • Travel assistance stipend up to $250
Interns are expected to: 
  • Conduct supervised research on agricultural and environmental sciences
  • Prepare and present a research poster summarizing the research project
  • Participate in professional development workshops 
Interested applicants must have:
  • A background or interest in agriculture and environmental sciences
  • An interest and ability to conduct and communicate scientific research
  • A strong interest in attending graduate school
  • A minimum grade point average of 3.0

The Emerging Scholars Internship is open to juniors and seniors
majoring in agricultural and related sciences or related major
at HBCUs and 1890 land-grant institutions.
