Sagewood Elementary staff and students

At Sagewood Elementary, collaborative work in academics and Social Emotional Learning are at the forefront of our commitment to academic excellence for all students. Our dedicated staff utilizes teaching methodologies that ignite curiosity, high engagement with content, and a love for learning. Co-teaching with certified tutors and special education teachers provides direct benefits through inclusion and incidental benefits for all students. Vertical alignment and grade-level work on standards and Marzano strategies support quality instruction for all students PK-5, with a focus on their journey in learning. Sagewood employs systematic processes with a commitment to Professional Learning Communities and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support that direct all tiers of instruction.

Sagewood Elementary believes education is a collaborative effort. We foster strong partnerships that grow and develop positive relationships between school families, staff, and students. Recognizing that true excellence goes beyond academics, Sagewood's school-wide Community Time provides students and staff time to invest in establishing, maintaining, and growing positive connections while supporting the needs of the whole child before starting our academic day.

Sagewood encourages active participation from school families in their child's education, thereby supporting the educational journey as a shared endeavor aimed at maximizing each student's individual potential. Through community partnerships and school-wide activities, Sagewood provides opportunities that build upon leadership, community service, and teamwork so students evolve as confident, compassionate, and socially responsible individuals.
