The Placer County Veterans Service Officer shared an update to the Placer County Board of Supervisors on Nov. 9 to share their experiences, accomplishments, impacts, and future plans.
Highlights from the presentation include:
- The CVSO helped bring over $129 Million dollars to Placer County veterans.
- The CVSO saved Placer County disabled veterans over $2 Million dollars in mandatory
college tuition fees through the College Tuition Fee Waiver Program.
- The CVSO instituted teleservices, electronic signatures, and virtual conferencing, in
addition to in-person visits, to expand services to veterans.
- The CVSO opened satellite offices in Auburn and Tahoe to provide in-person veterans
services to veterans living in these areas.
- The VAC increased its active membership
