SEN Sessions at The Little Play Village

Event

What is the event?

Welcome to The Little Play Village - the Worthing-based role play business, designed with fun, learning and safety at its heart.

🧡About Our SEN Sessions🧡

⭐You are more than welcome to attend if your child doesn't have special educational needs.

⭐Our SEN sessions are perfect for families who feel their child(ren) could benefit from a quieter session with fewer children playing in the space - their child may not have a special educational need or disability.

⭐Where possible, a representative from various professional bodies will be present throughout each session. They may suggest other sources of support where appropriate. We are very excited to welcome a member of the local charity 'West Sussex Parent Carer Forum' as part of this.

⭐During our SEN sessions, you might meet other families who share your parenting experiences - I hope this can help form a safe and supportive space to play in.

⭐Our sessions are totally free-flow - we leave you and your child(ren) to explore at your own pace for your entire visit.

⭐Our aim is to inspire imaginations and immerse you and your children in play, while you relax and connect in a safe space.

⭐Numbers are limited to ensure you can see your child at all times and so they have good access to the toy sets.

⭐We expect adults to supervise their children at all times, although you may find your child is happy to play independently for a short time, with you sitting nearby.

⭐Our sessions are enjoyed most by children aged 18 months - 7 or 8 years old, but even our younger visitors enjoy exploring the toys and moving about the space. Older siblings usually get stuck in, too!

⭐If you're bringing a non-moving baby, we've got a soft area designed with them in mind, too.

⭐If you would like to leave your shoes in the entrance or at the side of the room, it would help keep our floor space clean. Slippers or slipper socks are welcome.

🧡Our Toy Sets🧡

🧸We have carefully put together a range of role play toy sets which are designed to transport your child into an imaginary world where they can be whatever they want to be!

🧸Our current 10+ sets include our popular construction site, salon, bakery and ice cream parlour.

🧸We are known for our high quality, wooden toys and feature a range of popular, well-trusted brands in each of our sets.

🧡Covid Safety Information🧡

Your safety is our top priority and we ask our visitors to help us keep everyone safe and healthy.

🧼We ask visitors to wear a mask throughout the session (unless exempt).

🧼Families should sanitise/wash their hands as they arrive (and throughout the session, as needed).

🧼Each play zone is thoroughly cleaned and inspected before each session, positioned a safe distance away from the next to ensure you and your family have space to relax and play safely.

🧼We expect most children to mouth at least some of our toys. We also understand that dribble happens, as do coughs and sneezes. We ask that you please place all items that have been mouthed or need cleaning into our Scrub Tub before another child has time to take it. We will thoroughly clean toys throughout the session to ensure your safety.

🧼Each toy set/role play area is at a good distance from the next, allowing social distancing from others.

🧼We continue to limit our numbers to no more than 36 people in total, with a maximum of 16 family groups at any one time.
