The Northgate platform at Columbia City Station will be closed for maintenance work starting at beginning of service June 1 to 10 a.m. June 2. During this time, all passengers must board trains on platform to Angle Lake.
In effect: June 1-2
Routes: 1 Line
Trains will arrive every 10 minutes from Northgate to Stadium and every 20 minutes from Stadium to SeaTac/Airport.
The 1 Line will be suspended between SeaTac/Airport and Angle lake. Passengers will need to use KCM RapidRide A Line to travel between the two stations.
Be sure to pay attention to the train’s head sign or listen to announcements to ensure that you are boarding the correct train.
We strongly encourage riders to plan for extra time and check the ST Trip planner to catch the train that works for their travel needs.

Northgate Garage elevators will be temporarily out of service for scheduled maintenance from February 5 to July 1.

University Street North Mezzanine elevators to Benaroya Hall lobby reduced service hours in 2024

On certain weekends and evenings, the Benaroya Hall Boeing Gallery will offer access to University Street Station from 2.5 hours prior to any public event through its conclusion. See the Seattle Symphony’s calendar of Benaroya Hall events for dates and times of public events.
The elevators will be in service at the specified times. Please use alternate elevators when these elevators are not in service.
1 Line trains are sharing one track from SeaTac/Airport Station to Angle Lake Station from Sunday, June 2 at 10:01 a.m. through Friday, June 21 at 10:00 p.m. due to maintenance activity. Please board all trains on the platform to Angle Lake.

During full Link closures between Angle Lake and SeaTac/Airport Stations, Sound Transit will not operate a traditional “Link bus shuttle”. Instead, Sound Transit will direct passengers to KCM RapidRide A Line. Link passengers who must transfer to the A Line will not need to pay fare during full closures of Link between Angle Lake and SeaTac/Airport Stations. Passengers must take the King County Metro Rapid Ride, A line to travel to between Angle Lake and SeaTac/Airport Stations and then transfer to the 1 Line to continue northbound.
Beginning June 2, at 10 a.m. until June 21, to end of service: Trains will share the Angle Lake-destined (southbound) platform between SeaTac/Airport and Angle Lake stations. A train will run between SeaTac/Airport and Angle Lake stations, operating every 16-20 minutes. All passengers who need to travel through SeaTac Station must transfer to another train.
Due to weather, the planned maintenance at Columbia City Station has been postponed. Normal operations will resume at start of service on Sunday, June 2 from SeaTac/Airport Station to Northgate Station.

Late night rider information from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Northgate Station.

On weekdays and Saturday, the last train to Northgate Station with service through downtown Seattle departs SeaTac/Airport Station at about 11:58 p.m. All remaining trains will terminate at Beacon Hill Station.
On Sunday’s, the last train to Northgate Station with service through downtown Seattle departs SeaTac/Airport Station at about 11:13 p.m. All remaining trains will terminate at Beacon Hill Station.
Passengers are recommended to exit at Mount Baker Station and use the following King County Metro Routes to travel towards Northgate Station:
• Passengers requiring service to downtown Seattle, please take King County Metro Route 7.
• Passengers requiring service to Capitol Hill Station, please take King County Metro Route 7 to 3rd Avenue and Pike Street, then transfer to King County Metro Route 49 at Pike Street and 4th Avenue.
• Passengers requiring service to University of Washington and U District stations, please use King County Metro Route 48.
• Passengers requiring service to Roosevelt and Northgate stations, please use King County Metro Route 48 and transfer to King County Metro Route 67.

Temporary Sounder Bike Restriction

Only four bicycles are allowed per train car. Cyclists may only enter Sounder trains through doors with a bicycle symbol. Always follow any directions from the conductor.
Each Sounder train car has two tie-down spaces for cyclists to secure their bicycles. If the tie-down spaces are occupied, two additional cyclists may stand with their bikes. When standing with your bicycle, stand by the doors near the tie-down area. Restrain your bike with one hand and hold on to a secure pole with the other. Do not lean, or secure, your bicycle to other secured bicycles. Remember, you may need to move your bicycle, so other riders can move about the train.

Sumner parking closure starts Feb. 19 to make room for garage construction. 190 stalls to be closed.

The work will be done in phases. During Phase 1, which may last several months, approximately 40 stalls will remain open in the station’s southwest triangle lot. This includes ADA stalls, motorcycle stalls and pick-up and drop-off stalls will be in this area. (There are also pick-up and drop-off spaces on Traffic Avenue.) During Phase 1, Narrow Street will be closed to through traffic at Maple Ave, and Academy Street will be closed to through traffic at Cherry Street.
We recommend passengers make alternate plans for getting to a Sounder station as detailed in earlier alerts, including driving to Puyallup Station, Bonney Lake Park-and-Ride Lot, walking or bicycling, or applying for a carpool permit. One new option for east Sumner residents to get to the station is the City's Commuter Connector residential loop shuttle that travels between East Sumner and the station.
