As a Supervisory Data and Analytics Specialist, you will be a technical expert responsible for comprehensive data studies that inform agency decision making and improve performance; you will also supervise a group of analysts engaged in data analysis and modeling, hypothesis testing, decision sciences, and data management.

As a Supervisory Data and Analytics Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
Develop solutions for data integration, analytical operations (extraction transformation-loading and data modeling) and advanced analytics. Provide expert technical solutions, guidance, and recommendations to top management officials on issues which are important to the accomplishment of the agency’s mission.
Lead outreach to stakeholders across the agency to identify analytics opportunities, compellingly articulate the value proposition to stakeholders, and generate strong demand for the Division’s analytics services. Develop new insights into situations and applies innovative solutions that lead to organizational performance improvements.
Serve as a program and project manager, providing advanced analysis, evaluation, and recommendations related to transformation strategy, business activities, and business transformation. Build a pipeline of project work and, over time, develops a portfolio that addresses a range of business and policy issues for the agency.
Perform the full range of supervisory duties for a staff of General Schedule employees. Assign duties and establishes teams, while managing by objectives to achieve Division objectives. Create job patterns and career ladders for best use of all skills available to the organization. Create a work environment that encourages creative thinking and innovation.

The GS-15 salary range starts at $142,701.00 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience applying a wide range of data-driven analytical methods and techniques to rigorously evaluate programs and policy. Such experience would include identifying project opportunities grounded in business/program priorities, defining project frameworks and desired outcomes, and ensuring that project outputs address the practical needs of the customer; extensive technical experience with data-gathering, data-cleansing, and development of advanced analytics models; leveraging data systems and visualization tools to structure, review, and present executive-level information; managing projects involving data analysis and modeling, hypothesis testing, decision sciences, and data management.

Skill in applying project management principles, methods, and practices, including developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and evaluating and reporting on accomplishments.
Ability to formulate and execute a long-term strategy for program growth, in collaboration with functional and business partners throughout the organization.
