row-start col-md-7 #top-section top-section new-section

Expression of Interest process now closed

We have now closed the Expression of Interest process for individuals, organisations and businesses to put forward proposals to get involved at COP26 within the UK Government managed spaces. We hope to advise on the outcome of this process in May 2021.

UNFCCC accredited observer groups are able to apply for pavilion and exhibition space, as well as side events through UNFCCC portals which will launch approximately 6 months before the conference. More details will be provided on the UNFCCC and COP26 websites. In the meantime, please review the eligibility and selection criteria for UNFCCC side events and exhibits.

COP26

For the first time, the UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 1-12 November 2021. The climate talks will be the biggest international summit the UK has ever hosted; bringing together heads of state, climate experts, young people, civil society, trade unions, faith groups and Indigenous Peoples to agree coordinated action to tackle climate change.

We are keen to hear these voices through workshops and panel discussions, experience creative reflections on climate change, and witness leading technology & innovation driving change around the world.

Opportunities for involvement

This website outlines the opportunities for involvement via the UK Government at COP26 for which you can apply.

Opportunities span both the Blue Zone and the Green Zone ranging from hosting events and securing exhibition space, to installations that leave a lasting legacy. Further details can be found via the links at across the top of the page or downloaded as a guidance pack.

How to apply

Having read the guidance, please submit your proposal through the online application form linked below.

The application period closed at 17:00 (GMT), 5 March 2021.

Proposals will only be accepted through the online application form. Proposals received outside of this period will not be considered. Organisations wishing to submit multiple proposals must do so through individual applications. The number of events that an organisation can hold may be limited, according to the number of proposals received. Proposals previously put forward will need to be re-submitted via the form to be considered. We reserve the right to extend the closing date.

You will be informed as to the outcome of your proposal in May 2021.

Due to the anticipated volume of applications, we are unable to provide feedback on individual proposals.

Details on how we will use personal information submitted within proposals.
