Event description

Join Volunteer Fairfax for our annual family-friendly volunteer event: Give Together.  This event takes place on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the only National Holiday dedicated to volunteer service and designated as a "day-on, not a day-off."   This event is intended for families who want to serve together and learn about ways to support some of the areas local nonprofit partners working across a variety of mission areas.

Families with children as young as 5 years old are invited to participate in thoughtful, engaging projects that include a food drive and food packing, caring kits for community members who need support, no-tie fleece blankets for Veterans, environmental awareness and support for animal welfare.  Children earn passport stamps as they complete projects and are encouraged to participate in a reflection on Martin Luther King, Jr.'s legacy of service and community building.

Teen volunteers are welcome to register separately to support this event as Teen Volunteer Event Helpers supporting younger kids complete projects.  Please note that this event is free to attend and open to the public but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  Volunteer Fairfax reserves the right to take pictures and video at the event that can be used in marketing and communication materials.
