field_block:node:landing_page:body

Our St. Paul office is back to its normal hours and services. We are open to the public 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. We'll continue to follow the latest COVID-19 guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health.

Our service desk will accept and process payments by check, money order, or cash. You can also submit tax returns, get tax forms and instructions, and more. For a full list, see In-Person Customer Service

You can find answers to most of your tax questions on this website. We're also available to help you by telephone and email. See our Contact Us page.

Tax Treatment of Federal Relief Funds
The American Rescue Plan Act excluded funds from some COVID-19 business relief programs from federal income for tax purposes. Minnesota has not conformed to these provisions, which means the funds are taxable for state tax purposes. For details, go to Tax Law Changes.

COVID-19 Frontline Worker Pay
The state has processed and sent Frontline Worker Payments to applicants who qualified for the program. The application period is closed. For program information and updates, go to the state Frontline Worker Pay website or Program FAQs (PDF).

COVID-19 and Telecommuters
From March 13, 2020, to June 30, 2022, Minnesota will not seek to establish nexus for business income tax or sales and use tax solely because an employee is temporarily telecommuting due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
