Trees can bring cooling shade, beauty, and clean air to your landscape-if they are the right trees for the space and conditions. But trees that are not adapted to the environment in your landscape are unlikely to thrive. If they are planted too close to the house, hardscape, or utilities root conflicts are likely as the trees grow. Arborist Lani Houck from Roseville Urban Forest Foundation will walk you through choosing the right trees for your location. We will also discuss trees you should probably not plant.

Learn drip the right way in this hands-on workshop taught by water efficiency experts. Learn about equipment and installation for both retrofits and new landscapes. Discover how to keep your garden growing using less water by converting a sprinkler system to a drip irrigation system. In this class you will learn the basics of a DIY drip conversion and the three different types of drip systems. For the hands on portion of the class we will practice converting an existing sprinkler system into the three different types of drip systems. Learn about the key components and principles needed to build your drip system.
