Locals roads flooded as Northeast winds, rain overflow banks

PORT CLINTON - Northeasterly winds pushed water and debris onto local roadways Sunday as more businesses saw flooding across downtown Port Clinton.

The National Weather Service issued as lakeshore flood warning as strong winds and rainfall breached the shores of the city, flooding Madison Street and surrounding areas, including the Jackson Street Pier.

Strong wings accompanying another Nor’easter storm pushed water and debris onto the street in downtown Port Clinton.

Dispatch for Port Clinton Police Department said there were no injuries or traffic crashes due to the flooding.

In Sandusky County, Sandusky County Emergency Management Agency reported closures at County Road 259 between Township Road 210 and County Road 232 and County Road 232 between County Road 259 and County 265.
