This serene lake, located 25 miles west of Grants, is set in a pinon-juniper landscape with views towards the Zuni Mountains.

The park offers camping, hiking, birding, horseback riding and fishing. And not just any fishing – you’ll find some of the best tiger muskie fishing at Bluewater Lake!

PARK HOURS

SUMMER: April 1 – October 31
Gate Hours: 6:00 AM – 9:00 PM*
WINTER: November 1 – March 31
7:00 AM – 5:00 PM**

*Reservations for Bluewater Lake begin on May 15th to Sept 15th . Please be aware of this daily closure when making a reservation. Only half of our sites are reservation only, the other half are first come first serve. Shoreline camping is available as well.

**All sites are first come first serve during this time.
During the closed hours the entrance gate is locked and entry is denied however the exit remains open at all times.
