Per Pupil Expenditure Transparency

Below is an interactive map that displays the per pupil expenditure (PPE) data required under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) on State and local report cards. Beginning with data from the 2018-2019 school year, States are required to report on the PPE data for Federal, State, and local funds, including actual personnel and non-personnel expenditures for each district and each school in the State. This interactive map includes the PPE data publicly reported on State websites. This website will be updated with additional data periodically as additional data are available. Click on a State to see available data for that State.

Additional data not from the States’ publicly reported PPE data is from the U.S. Department of Education’s (ED’s) Common Core of Data (CCD).
