Registration Is Now Open for Mental Health America (MHA)'s Annual Conference!

It is time to secure your spot at MHA’s 2021 Annual Conference! From June 10 to June 12, we will be gathering together to focus on the theme, “Resiliency to Recovery.” This will be a hybrid event consisting of a small in-person gathering and a digital conference experience. No matter which way you choose to join us, you will have the opportunity to learn from experts in the field and engage with valuable content.

 

Submissions For MHA’s 2021 Annual Conference Awards Are Due This Friday, April 9

Award nominations are now open for MHA's 2021 Annual Conference: From Resiliency to Recovery. The deadline for all submissions is April 9, 2021 at 5:00 PM ET. Winners will be announced by early May.

 

The 2021 Mental Health Month Toolkit is Available for Download

In 2021, we will continue with our theme of Tools 2 Thrive, providing practical tools that everyone can use to improve their mental health and increase their resiliency regardless of their personal situation.

Our toolkit includes sample materials for communications and social media as well as printable handouts on the following topics:

  • Adapting after trauma and stress
  • Dealing with anger and frustration
  • Getting out of thinking traps
  • Processing big changes
  • Taking time for yourself
  • Radical acceptance

Austin daSilva Named Executive Director of MHA of York and Adams Counties

Austin daSilva, is the new executive director of Mental Health America of York and Adams Counties (MHAYAC). "I'm eager to lead the organization and use my skills and expertise to continue to serve the MHAYAC community and clients by elevating our programs and services," daSilva said. DaSilva has a background in psychology (BA Psych, MS, I/O Psych) as well as operations management and leadership expertise. Former executive director Kimberly Stratton currently serves on the MHAYAC board.
