Ideas week!

As part of the next stage of the project, the team will be holding an exhibition over two weeks in July, sharing the latest emerging ideas for the PC World and B&M sites. The Ideas Week venue will be located at 682 Old Kent Road, where a range of activities will take place.

We’ll be hosting a series of workshops and group discussions over the week to share knowledge and views with the local community. You can also come along at any time to the drop-in exhibitions to view the emerging ideas..

The events will be in a range of formats, taking place both online and at our Ideas Week venue, located at 682 Old Kent Road. You will also be able to view the emerging ideas and brief and share your feedback here, so keep a look out!

11am-1pm

Drop-in Exhibition, 682 OKR: Come along to meet the team and comment on the early design concepts. A “Kid’s Corner” will be provided!

1pm – 2.30pm

Business and Industry Workshop, 682 OKR : Discussions about non-residential uses, including retail, commercial, industrial and workspace. And an opportunity to discuss access, servicing and impacts.

Community Workshop, 682 OKR : Discussions around potential community uses/benefits, public realm, routes and connections. We will also discuss heritage and local identity.

Let’s Talk about Regeneration, 682 OKR : This forum will discuss all the aspects of regeneration that people are excited or worried about, and conversations about the planning process and its opportunities, limitations and issues.

New Homes Design, Site Layout and Massing Workshop, Online (Zoom): This will include a presentation from the design team about building heights, scale, massing and homes design.

Public Review, Online (Zoom) : We will be playing back the feedback gathered during the Ideas Week. We’ll respond to any specific issues or comments that were raised and set out how we will continue to take feedback on board.
