The IES Application Submission Guide provides information on how to prepare and submit applications electronically through Grants.gov.

The various Requests for Applications describe the substantive requirements for research and research training applications. IES will post the FY 2023 Requests for Applications on this page as they become available. Archived copies of the FY 2022 Requests for Applications are available online.

FY 2023 Grants.Gov Application Packages

Grants.gov Application Packages provide all the forms that you must complete and submit to apply for the funding opportunities listed on this page.

Application Packages will be available on https://www.grants.gov/

To find the correct downloadable Application Package, you must first search by the ALN number for your Request for Applications without the alpha suffix. Use 84.305 for RFAs associated with Education Research and Research Training Programs in the Education Sciences competed by the National Center for Education Research. Use 84.324 for RFAs associated with Special Education Research competed by the National Center for Special Education Research. The search will yield more than one package. Select the package for the competition and deadline to which you are applying. See the relevant Request for Applications for further details.

Warning: As a reminder, your institution must be registered in SAM.gov and Grants.gov before you can submit an application to IES.
