With a £20m investment from the UK government (Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy) and £20m from CCLA Investment Management Ltd, the Clean Growth Fund pools public and private capital to invest in new, early-stage clean technology ventures.
The Clean Growth Fund will identify, evaluate and invest in the most promising and ambitious companies and provide them with commercialisation expertise and market access to enable rapid growth and scale-up.
The fund will invest across the technology spectrum (eg. resource efficiency, renewables, process models, materials) in the following sectors:
- Power
- Buildings
- Transport
- Industry
- Waste
To be eligible for investment, companies should have an innovative solution that has substantial market potential and will make a clear and significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gases.

Investments in early-stage UK companies with products and services focussed on driving clean growth in the low carbon economy
