The GS-14 salary range starts at $121,316.00 per year.

Specialized experience is one year of experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience in contracting or related positions and must have included: providing leadership and professional expertise in the interpretation and execution of contracting laws, regulations and policies; providing acquisition management oversight and professional guidance and assistance; and developing, recommending, and implementing changes to contracting policies and procedures.

Skill in directing a program segment that performs technical, administrative, protective, investigative, or professional work. The program segment and work directed typically have coverage that encompasses a major metropolitan area, a State, or a small region of several States.
Knowledge of planning, developing, managing and advising on contractual approaches and methods for all phases of a procurement program for highly specialized or complex systems/subsystems and related technical supplies, equipment and services.
Skill in coordination and integration of a number of important projects or program segments of professional, scientific, technical, and managerial or administrative work, as well as major recommendations that have a direct and substantial effect on the organization and projects managed.
Ability to supervise operations of the work unit through subordinate team leaders. This includes work planning, setting priorities, preparing work schedules, assigning work based on such things
as difficulty and employee capabilities, preparing performance appraisals, counseling employees on work and administrative matters, interviewing applicants, providing for training,
and developing performance standards.

(B) Proof of contracting certification - submit the following:
(a) FAC-C or DAWIA Level II or higher certification (copy of certificate)
If certification is over 2 years old, also submit (b) or (c) below:
(b) Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) history identifying the completion of 80 CLPs every two years. The 80 CLPs every two years must be from the issuance date of certification to current period.
(c) If you are a FAITAS member, you may submit your Continuous Learning Achievement Certificate from FAITAS. On your "My Continuous Learning" page, click on the "approved" link under Achievement Status to print a copy of your most recent certificate.
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications.
