Special Vacancy Notice: Placer RCD Seeking to Fill Two Board of Director Seats

[AUBURN, CA] – The Placer Resource Conservation District (PRCD) is seeking candidates for two open seats on the Board of Directors. The selected applicants will serve the remainder of a four-year term. The Board of Directors meets every 4th Tuesday of the month at 4pm. Those who have a demonstrated interest in soil and water conservation and are landowners, or have a proxy who is a landowner, are encouraged to apply (see application link and instructions below). The PRCD is an independent, self-governing special district dedicated to the conservation of natural resources. Formed in 1946, the Placer RCD develops and supports programs through partnerships with private landowners and public agencies to accomplish conservation goals. The PRCD is a non-regulatory agency that builds trust with partners and landowners by offering programs and services that are voluntary. The Placer RCD provides assistance and manages projects throughout all of Placer county; from the Sacramento Valley floor over the crest of the Sierra Nevada’s down the eastern slope to the Nevada state line covering approximately 1500 square miles of diverse stakeholders, habitat, and agricultural enterprises.
