2024 Music on the Beach Lineup

Marty O'Reilly

June 14

Explaining Marty O’Reilly’s music is like describing a dream. It feels familiar, but at the same time unchartered. His songs sound bluesy but not blues, folky but not folk, soulful but not soul. Marty’s voice is beautiful and unique, his lyrics stark yet lush over gritty electrified guitar, melding beautifully into genre-defying music within the vast definitions of Americana.

Will a concert be cancelled due to air quality?

North Tahoe Business Association has taken time to reflect on these smokey days and have made the decision to develop and implement an Air Quality Protocol. We understand that these circumstances can become very confusing, and the public may question whether or not we will cancel a Music on the Beach concert or other NTBA events. We hope this will help provide some clarity.

Based on the Air Quality Index (AQI), levels of 150 or higher is considered to be unhealthy for all groups and ages and getting into dangerous levels for our community’s health. Our goal at NTBA is to put on safe events for our community, staff, volunteers and bands/vendors! We need to keep in mind the quality of air we are breathing and make sure we are not putting anyone at risk.

We will take a look at current Air Quality levels and projected forecasts from a variety of sources to help us determine if we are going to cancel or postpone an event. We want to make sure we are making the best possible decision in a timely manner. We will also call off an event early if we feel that the Air Quality has declined during the event.

If you are interested in looking at the AQI for our region you can see the AQI in your weather app on your phone or use PurpleAir.com for a more accurate reading. Please refer to our facebook and instagram pages for the most updated information.

NTBA dedicates our Music on the Beach series to Pam Emmerich
For your infectious smile, love of music, dedication to the community, and years of support!
December 25, 1970 - July 5, 2020

“Pam was an invaluable asset to the North Tahoe Business Association serving on the volunteer Board of Directors for six years, from 2012 to 2018. This is the maximum number of years of service allowed according to the NTBA bylaws. Prior to 2012, Pam volunteered for multiple years on NTBA committees, including promotions, events, and on the Executive Committee as Vice President for several years.

Pam was an extraordinary and well respected person who cared deeply about North Lake Tahoe and her community. She was a rare individual who put her caring and passion into action to try to make a positive difference. Pam excitedly agreed to serve on the Music on the Beach committee as she’d been involved in the event from its inception in 2007 and due to her love of music and her community. Pam always had her finger on the pulse of the Tahoe, Reno and Northern California music scene and was quick to suggest many up-and-coming and other bands and make personal introductions. She put many hours in on Music on the Beach band selection process as well as other event related items. Pam always showed up with a smile on her face, a great attitude, and did very strong work. Her passion and enthusiasm were infectious. Pam was a selfless individual – a total giver. She always put others and her community first (she knew how to have fun too!). She was an old soul for sure.

Undoubtedly, Pam will be deeply missed by her many friends, and the community she worked so hard to improve. She deeply touched everyone that had the pleasure of knowing and working with her. Pam’s legacy of giving will live on in my heart and in North Lake Tahoe forever.”

-Joy Doyle, former Executive Director of NTBA

I think we can all agree that Pam would want nothing more than for the music to go on, so let’s get this party started!
