The Office of Governor Jay Inslee released its 2024 budgeting proposals, including funding for several ongoing Central Washington University projects. One such proposed project is a second geothermal well to complement the one currently under construction in the North Academic Commons.

Governor Jay Inslee released his Supplemental Operating and Capital Budget proposals for the 2024 fiscal year earlier this month, including funding for several ongoing Central Washington University projects and priorities. 

The supplemental budget proposals for Central include $12.4 million for a secondary GeoEco Plant that will work in tandem with the already-funded geothermal well that will soon be developed alongside the new North Academic Complex.
