The Tri-Networks HPV Vaccination Learning Collaborative (Collaborative) is designed to help build the capacity of State Comprehensive Cancer Control Programs (CCCPs) to engage in policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change activities to improve HPV vaccination rates among populations with low socioeconomic (low-SES) characteristics, Hispanics, and geographically disparate communities. Over the course of the Collaborative, participants will learn strategies demonstrated to be effective and lessons learned in the application of evidence-based practices to improve HPV vaccination rates among the three target populations through policy implementation.
The Collaborative is a 12-month commitment. Over the 12-month period, participants will spend approximately 55 hours engaging in the following activities: an in-person, 2.5-day kick-off meeting; up to three (3) virtual learning sessions; up to four (4), 1:1 technical assistance office hour sessions for each state; and up to two (2), peer-to-peer learning sessions with other participating states.
This opportunity is open to all state CCCPs. CCCPs must have identified or intend to identify geographic disparate; Hispanic, or populations with low-SES characteristics as the intended audience to be impacted and select one (1) item from a menu of policy interventions to work on over the course of the Learning Collaborative:
* School-entry requirements
* Increase reimbursement rates for vaccines
* Expand vaccine access points to the Vaccine for Children Programs
* Improve immunization information and surveillance systems
* Standing orders for HPV vaccination
* Client reminder and recall systems
* Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Up to ten (10) state CCCPs will be selected to participate in the Collaborative. State CCCPs selected will have an opportunity to identify two (2) designees to participate in the Collaborative. It is recommended that the two designees include a representative from your state's CCCP and either a representative from your state's cancer coalition, HPV workgroup or a similar entity. If neither of these is an option, you can select a second person from your state CCC program team. The initial kick-off for the Collaborative will be held in-person, September 28 - 30, 2022 in Atlanta, GA. State CCC programs selected to participate in the Collaborative must be available to participate in the kick-off meeting.
The Collaborative is made possible by a partnership between the Geographic Health Equity Alliance, Nuestras Voces Network, and SelfMade Health Network (Tri-Networks) with funding through CDC-RFA-DP18-1808: Networking2Save: CDC’s National Network Approach to Preventing and Controlling Tobacco-related Cancers in Special Populations.
The deadline to submit an application is July 31, 2022. Should any questions arise, please contact
